

COISPA Foundation
The COISPA Foundation was established in Bari in 2022, bringing together 40 years of scientific experience from the COISPA cooperative. Its aim is to promote and conduct research activities in the fields of ecological innovation, marine biology, aquaculture, and fisheries management, firmly rooted in the principles of sustainable development.
Our values
The COISPA Foundation aims to operate internationally, aligning the development of the national territory with the objectives and values upon which the European Union is founded (Article 3 of the Lisbon Treaty), particularly :

Achieving sustainable development based on balanced economic growth;

Protecting and improving the quality of the environment;

Our objectives
The COISPA Foundation is a Third Sector Entity (ETS) registered in the National Single Register of the Third Sector (RUNTS). The Foundation is non-profit and pursues its objectives through:

The interventions and services aimed at the safeguarding and improvement of environmental conditions and the prudent and rational utilization of natural resources;

University and post-university education;

Scientific research of particular social interest.
The research activity primarily focuses on:
