Biography:
Researcher at COISPA since 2009. He has a degree in mathematics applied to stochastic models. He has participated in the development and application of population dynamics models and GLM, GAM, GAMM models in the fishing sector. Since 2009, it has participated in national fisheries data collection programs, established in compliance with European Regulations and has participated in the STECF-SGMED-EWG working groups since 2010. In particular, it has developed specific experiences in the use of different families of stock evaluation models (e.g., highly structured and data limited), management strategy evaluation models (e.g., Management Strategy Evaluation - MSE) and preference modeling (e.g., Multi Criteria Decision Analysis - MCDA). He developed several routines in R for data control and processing. He participated in the development of the BEMTOOL bio-economic model and takes care of its updates. Coordinator of the ICES WGBIOPTIM working groups and the RCG group on the optimization of biological sampling. Coordinator of the European QualiTrain project, aimed at the development and application of tools for improving the quality of fisheries data.
