Biografia:
Ha più di 30 anni di esperienza su tematiche di ricerca relative alla dinamica di popolazione, stock assessment, gestione della pesca, analisi spaziale, studio del comportamento e benessere nei pesci. Ha partecipato alle attività del SAC (Scientific Advisory Committee-SAC, GFCM) sin dal 2000, ed alle sessioni dello STECF-SGMED-EWG sin dal 2008. A partire dal 2002, ha contribuito alla stesura dei programmi nazionali di raccolta dati alieutici, istituiti in osservanza dei Regolamenti Europei. Ha partecipato o ha coordinato numerosi programmi di ricerca nazionali ed Europei, ed ha pubblicato, come autore o coautore, più di 50 articoli scientifici. E’ membro dello STECF (Scientific, Technical and Economic Committee for Fisheries) della Commissione Europea dal 2025.
